A Cult Leader and his Cult Followers

Before this whole pandemic started, I often spoke about the cult of Trump and his supporters and how they follow along like sheep and not only continue to believe his lies, but go ahead and repeat those lies like the messiah himself had said them.

This has been a cult from the very beginning, except, before it was not as dangerous for our country, but with a pandemic and a president lying daily about it, lives are at stake and that is what makes this cult and their cult leader, more dangerous than ever.

This is how it usually plays out.

Trump says something untrue or flat out crazy, then Fox, Breitbart, and the other right-wing propaganda networks repeat that falsehood, and then Trump supporter after Trump supporter will repeat that lie in political debates and posts and that is how the fake news gets spread.

It is happening more than ever with this virus.

These people like their cult leader call reputable news organizations who report real news “Fake news” when they are the ones who do that, and that is how they try and manipulate others and try and gain votes, it is how they operate and it is dangerous.

It has been happening since late 2015, but it is happening more than ever during this pandemic that we all are going through, and this is exactly the time when we should not repeat lies and push propaganda and conspiracy theories, but that is what they do.

This virus is real, yet they continue to push fake stories and repeat debunked lies about the pandemic and our current situation in this country, but it is nothing new because they have been doing it since he was running for office in late 2015.

There is a saying, every new beginning comes out of something ending and that rings true with the situation that our country finds itself in with this president and all that has happened on his watch. We must make a new start and get our country back to the good times both politically and morally. The way to do that is to get out and vote this November and demand that our most important right is heard and that is the right to vote, to vote without interference.

The soul of our country is at stake as well as the future that we want to create for our children and as Americans we absolutely must make the right choice this time and get this right, because the alternative, is unacceptable. I honestly believe that we cannot survive four more years of Donald Trump and that if he is re-elected then everything from equality to entitlement programs to the environment will suffer and things will get much worse, yes, they can get worse.

The goal is to become America again.

This is all that should matter when all is said and done. Making our country better should not be a party line issue, but an American issue. The ways in which our nation has lost who we are and what we stand for since this man first took office are many and to recover and find our soul again will take an effort so great that it will take all of us and it will take Americans for once choosing country over party and that is the hope we all have as we move forward.

Becoming a nation that we all can be proud of again will take work and there are a variety of things that must take place for us to get there, but the most thing is for us to get rid of Donald Trump and get a president in there that actually cares about the people of this country and wants what is best for every person in this country and wants us to have a great country that works for all and is a country of kindness and humanity,

We will never have such a country as long as Trump is running the show and if he gets re-elected then we will become a much worse nation than we are now, and we will fall further than any of us thought we could. The way that things are now are very bad and the message that is being sent is that it is no big deal for a sitting president to commit crimes and behave in inappropriate ways and that message is dangerous and it is unjust and it is a message that will send us into a very dark period in this country, darker than we are now.

The message that we need to send is that this is not who we are and never will be who we are. This is not acceptable for our country or any country and we must refuse to allow this president and the cult that follows him to turn our country into a place that we will no longer recognize, we are extremely close to that now and will enter a point of no return if we do not do something soon.

When I say that we must become America again, I say that because over the last almost four years our country has no resembled the country that I grew up in and does not share the values we all have come to know and cherish as citizens of this country. America is a nation that we have always known as a nation of immigrants, a nation that values different points of view, a nation where equality is part of our makeup, and a nation where science and human rights are valuable and are also respected.

All of that is the complete opposite of what Trump stands for and what he has done since becoming president. The fact is that when Donald Trump became president, we un-became America and things started to go downhill and have gone further and further downhill over his term as president, and things are sure to get much worse if he gets a second term, you can count on that as people like him do not suddenly change, they become more out of control.

To become America again we must make racism wrong again, we must make corruption a crime again, we must take care of the needy again instead of making life harder for them, we must become a nation with values and morals again and choose country over party and the only way that we can do that is to move on from this man and move on from what he has done to our country.

Just remember, he has done a lot to damage our country, but never has done anything to better it and despite him and his supporters reporting fake news that he has made America great; the facts show that he has not.

The coming months will tell us a lot about which direction our country will go in and who we will become moving forward. Will we become America again or we will go in the opposite direction and continue down the path that Trump has us on and be a nation that never will be the America that we have been and a path that has both dangerous and devastating consequences, and that is not a risk that I am willing to take nor is it a risk that our nation should take.

It is a risk that will make the United States of America more like a place like Russia than the country that our founders envisioned all those years ago when they wrote the constitution and set us on this path to become one of the greatest nations on earth and that is what we were before Trump took over.

Once he leaves office there are some things, we can do to become America again and these things are steps we must take if we hope to regain all that we have lost since he has been in charge.

Republicans choose to defend Trump and all of the crimes he commits and lies he tells and it truly does say it all about them and what they are all about, but this is not who America is and it is not who we want to become, who we are and what we strive to become.

They defend him at all costs, and it is a shame on our country and the Republican Party that we allow this to happen and that we allow him to trample on the constitution and the values of this nation the way that he does.

They really showed their true colors once this whole pandemic and public health crisis began and if they did not act like cult followers before, they certainly do now and they have shown that they do not care about their fellow Americans and want to blame others for his inaction.

Trump supporters, you can thank your president for this . His weak and inadequate response to this crisis and virus caused it to spread like this throughout the country and infect more than a million of our citizens, yet they continue to repeat lies of his like his “Harmless flu” lie that he comes up with.

No, it’s not like the flu. Another one of Trump’s lies. He called it a harmless flu for ten weeks and did NOTHING. Did not take it seriously and used his briefings to attack reporters and blame everyone for HIS failure on this.

His supporters continue to repeat everything he says and they also do not take this seriously . That’s what happens when a cult follows their cult leader. If he had acted in January lives would have been saved and we would have had deaths in single digits , not 57K!

No, his China travel ban did NOT make a difference because it was also late as he ignored intelligence in November that it was a possibility. By the time he banned travel from China the virus was already in Europe and then here.

He did not take it seriously. He did not do what he should have done and lock down the entire country after the first case … for those of you unfamiliar with outbreaks , THAT is how you contain an outbreak and save lives.

His supporters continue to defend him, whether it is with this pandemic and how he failed us there, or his inappropriate behavior with women, his racism, his lies, and the many other things he has done throughout the course of his presidency that are inhumane , incoherent, and flat out psychopathic and will not seem to see the real truth.

This is how a cult behaves.

This is without a doubt a cult. They act like one and Trump acts like a cult leader.

They parrot the same lies and talking points that their dear leader does and they deny facts and science, while claiming that they are “educated” and know it all. This is at times hilarious, but it is no joke in reality as the scary part is that these people can vote and they vote for an incompetent and unfit leader like Trump.

The cult of Trump are full of sheep and they do not see the truth about what is going on, virus and otherwise. They follow and believe him without having any evidence that what he is saying and doing is true and that is the most frightening part of all of this and his followers, they take him at his word and that is their first and most fatal mistake.

The fact is this, Donald Trump failed our nation. Wake UP people and stop defending him. He is unfit for office and if he is re-elected to office, things will get much worse for us all, if that is even possible.
