We Have Been Assigned this Mountain to Show that it CAN be Moved

The old saying is that faith can move mountains and that is so true, but we can move the mountains in our lives and overcome so much as humans and our higher power makes that possible. I posted the title because we all go through addictions, emotional pains, physical illnesses, financial challenges, and horrible failures and when we overcome those things and come out on the other side, we must show others that it can be done.

Our testimony is essential to giving others hope that change and a faithful breakthrough is possible for them too. That is what recover is all about and that is what life is all about — helping others! It is not only for them that we help but also for us and for our own growth and our own recovery, for us to continue on with our own journey and our own self improvement and to show them and show the world that we can overcome.

Whether we recover from a mental illness, an addiction, grief and loss, or anything at all that keeps you stuck, there is one thing that is true and that is that we can use our pain to help others. We can overcome and come out on top and by doing so we can carry a message of hope and victory to those who still find themselves caught in the storm and that is what we must do, it is what we are called to do.

Witnessing to others shows them that change is possible and that no pain, habit, or problem is forever. It shows them that they are not alone and that their struggle has a way out, a positive way out and a way out that gives them a chance at a better life and a chance to themselves show others that these problems can be overcome and that a better life awaits them, if they only try and fight their way out.

One of my favorite songs is “Only a Mountain” by Jason Castro, I love this song because it is so hopeful. I believe that we must carry that message of hope and help others to get over whatever struggle they they are going through and find a better way, a way out of the pain, the addiction, the hopelessness.

Carrying a message of hope is so very important. It is what we are called to do and what we must always do, even when we may not be feeling it and may be going through our own trials and struggles, at these times it is important for us to be of service to our fellow human being and to gather some relief by stepping up and helping others.

Helping others is what keeps people clean and sober in recovery programs and helping others is key to achieving lots of things and to make people’s lives better and to give them hope, hope in humanity and hope that things can get better and that they can improve their lives and in essence, that is what it is all about, this thing called life.

We go through our own pain and struggles and do what we can guide others through their own pains and struggles and by doing so we show them that they too can recover and have a better life. We lead by example and we show they that there is hope and with some hard work and some faith that they can come out on the other side and show others that their very own mountain can also be moved.
